HHS Display of Data

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources (ASFR) operates in partnership with HHS Operating Divisions (OpDivs) and Staff Divisions (StaffDivs) and their system business owners to ensure government-wide data standards, data exchange requirements, and data reporting requirements are met and implemented.

On April 29, 2017, HHS successfully submitted data to Treasury in compliance with DATA Act requirements.

On May 9, 2017, Treasury launched the new USAspending.gov website, at Beta.USAspending.gov, in accordance with DATA Act requirements to enable the public to more easily search and access information on U.S. Federal spending. The website provides data about the awards distributed by the Federal government and links appropriations-level data to award data. The website will not only include data reported in May 2017 and beyond but also historical data from ten years prior to the publication of the new website.

Visitors to the new website can search by location, Federal agency, or keyword for a specific program or type of spending. They can also search for a specific recipient of Federal funds, such as a business or university.

Treasury compiles the data on the new website with information submitted by Federal agencies. Data will be updated and published on the site quarterly. Agencies and the public are invited to provide feedback and inquire about the display of data via the Service Desk, which can be accessed on the website.
