Cynthia Richardson-Crooks

Ms. Cynthia Richardson-Crooks presently serves as the Director of Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance and Operations Division (EEOCO), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration (ASA), United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). She is responsible for all EEO services for the Department including, Reasonable Accommodation, EEO Training for all employees and Complaints Management.  Cynthia's professional career began in the Federal sector with the U.S. Department of Education where she served as an Equal Opportunity Specialist. From there, she moved to Washington DC to attend law school. Upon graduating she worked as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago. Thereafter, she held positions with the Small Business Administration and the Department of Justice. Next, she relocated to Huntington, WV when she took a Director of Human Resources position in private industry with Gannett, Co., Inc.  Later, she served as Director of EEO for The George Washington University. Cynthia has been affiliated with the District of Columbia Business Leadership Network (DCBLN) since 2001 as a past President and member of the Board of Directors. She is also an Advisory Board Member for the Mid-Atlantic ADA Center.
