Standard:
HHS must use standard icons and logos where applicable. An icon library has been established, along with guidance on HHS-specific images. HHS will refer to the image and icon library for approved images for items such as multimedia files and HHS logos.
Rationale:
As part of the “One HHS: One Web site” concept, it is important that standard icons be used so that users have a common experience as they move across HHS web content.
The use of standard icons saves time for developers since icons have already been defined and developed.
