FY14 Airline City Pair Contracts Awarded
Effective October 1, 2013, 10 major US airline carriers will be added to the City Pair Program(CPP), increasing the City Pairs total awards by 25% (4,953 domestic and 1,443 international). Airfares offered under this program are discounted significantly in comparison to full commercial fares,therefore saving the Federal Government an estimated $2 billion dollars.
GSA, through its data analysis efforts show the City Pair fares for FY14 are consistently below corporate benchmarks in all top markets. In comparison to last year, the average domestic fare cost dropped 4%, and international fares dropped 7%.
