New Federal Travel System: Concur Government Edition (CGE)
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will soon begin using a new online travel system, Concur Government Edition (CGE). For travelers and travel preparers, CGE offers a more intuitive, user-friendly experience (similar to that of commercial booking engines such as Travelocity® or Expedia®), increased user security, and robust personal information protection. For Federal Agency Travel Administrators (FATAs) and other travel service providers, CGE will increase automation, streamline processes, and enhance policy compliance.
HHS Operating and Staff Divisions (OpDivs/StaffDivs) will transition from GovTrip to CGE on a rolling schedule starting later in 2014. Training is required before using CGE. You will receive communications from your OpDiv/StaffDiv and from the Program Support Center/Transportation Services (PSC/TS) about the training schedule and other important transition steps. You’ll also have access to self-help materials, including Job Aids and Frequently Asked Questions, to help you easily transition from GovTrip to CGE.
