Transportation Services (TS) is managing the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) transition from GovTrip to Concur Government Edition (CGE), the federal government’s new employee travel system.
CGE is being implemented under the General Services Administration’s (GSA’s) E-Gov Travel Service 2 (ETS2) master contract, which was awarded to Concur Technologies Inc. (Concur) in September 2012. The Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) requires that all federal government agencies transition to the new ETS2 system when available.
A more intuitive, user-friendly experience, similar to that of commercial booking engines such as Travelocity® or Expedia®
Increased automation and streamlined workflows such as automatically creating authorizations as reservations are made
Increased user security (e.g. greater protection of Personally Identifiable Information [PII])
Improved policy compliance
TS has partnered with HHS’ Operating and Staff Divisions to ensure the Department’s transition to CGE is completed in March and April 2014. For a detailed transition schedule, click here.
