Airlines:

Smarter Travel features an extensive list of phone numbers, including toll-free, reservations, baggage claims, and frequent flyer, to name but a few. Travel Watch provides telephone numbers of airlines.  There are also directories of car rental agencies, hotels, and cruise lines. Status of flights are available Flight Stats.

Airports:

Country Travel Warnings: 

The Department of State Office of American Citizens Services and Crisis Management (ACS) administers the Consular Information Program, which informs the public of conditions abroad that may affect their safety and security. Country Specific Information, Travel Alerts, and Travel Warnings are available.

Weather Alerts:

The National Weather Service offers round-the-clock information on national conditions and forecasts.  For international weather conditions, the Internet Weather Source (also hosted by the National Weather Service) is an excellent resource. 

World Fact Book:  

The World Fact Book provides information on the history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 266 world entities.
