The HHS Travel Office is now offering comprehensive GovTrip training specifically tailored to the needs of the HHS Traveler. The Two Day Travel Preparer and Three Day FATA courses are each designed to give you the knowledge and skills necessary to to effectively use GovTrip.

Travel Preparer
Course Description:
This course provides an overview of the process of initiating an authorization and creating a voucher on behalf of a traveler. The GovTrip Travel Preparer course allows a designated Government Travel Preparer to input and digitally sign trip requests and prepare reimbursement claims in GovTrip for other travelers. It also introduces the preparer to the HHS travel website and its benefits.
Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this training, the participants will be able to: • Prepare TDY travel orders • Prepare vouchers and local vouchers for traveler reimbursement • Make domestic and international airline, hotel and car reservations as well as domestic rail reservations. • Prepare trip budgets • Assist and inform travelers

Federal Agency Travel Administrator (FATA)
Course Description:
Federal Agency Travel Administrators are the main points of contact for travel arrangers requiring assistance. The GovTrip FATA course teaches the designated government FATA the responsibility of overall management of GovTrip at the organization level.

Travel Preparer Course
Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this training, the participants will be able to: • Create and maintain user profiles • Set up and maintain the electronic routing for travel authorization/voucher approvals • Recognize various tables and tabs in GovTrip • Manage lines of accounting and budgets • Produce reports • Help troubleshoot problems from users and Approving Officials
