The Secretary's Radio Address: July
Hi, I’m Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius.
Starting October 1st, the new Health Insurance Marketplace will give millions of Americans who buy their own health coverage – and those who don’t have any coverage at all – a better way to find a health plan that fits their budget.
To help people get ready, we launched HealthCare.gov, which was put together with you and your family in mind. It’s easy to use. It has a live webchat tool and a 24/7 customer call center to help you out. And it’s available in English and Spanish.
But that’s not all. Last week we announced an initiative with America’s libraries – a critical resource in our communities – to serve as a helpful place for you and your family to find information today and to enroll for coverage this fall.
And this week, we’re awarding grants to more than 1,100 community health centers to help connect millions of their uninsured patients with affordable health coverage.
These are just a few of the many ways we’re helping people learn about the better options for health insurance that will be available October 1st. It will be a brand new day for millions of Americans.
So visit HealthCare.gov . Sign up for updates. And share them with your family and your friends.
