- The Heart Truth campaign to increase awareness of heart disease among women and help women take steps to reduce their own personal risk of developing heart disease.
- The Let’s Move! campaign to prevent childhood obesity by helping children choose healthy foods and stay active.
- The Make the Call. Don’t Miss a Beat. campaign to educate women about the seven most common symptoms of a heart attack.
Promoting Women’s Health
The Secretary recently visited Baltimore, MD to talk to women who are the health decision-makers for their families. While there, the Secretary and women discussed how the new health care law, the Affordable Care Act, is making sure health insurance companies play fair.
The health care law offers important benefits for women and their families.
