Major Actions Taken to Date - The President announced on Monday, February 23rd that starting Wednesday, February 25th, States would be able to access the first two quarters of Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) funds (about $15.3 billion). FMAP, which is the Federal match for Medicaid, helps families pay health care costs.
- The Department developed and provided draft operating plans for ARRA programs to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review in several areas.
- Launched the Department of Health and Human Services' Recovery Act Website: http://www.hhs.gov/recovery/index.html
Major Actions Planned - We could possibly announce and/or begin releasing funds under operating plans for additional ARRA programs.
