25 PHS Pharmacists recently gathered to practice their immunization skills in preparation for delivering influenza immunizations at the

Federal Occupational Health clinics located in the Washington DC area.  The Pharmacist Professional Advisory Committee hopes this will be the start of a beneficial and collaborative relationship with the FOH to offer expanding practice opportunities for our pharmacists.

These pharmacists all completed the American Pharmacist Association's Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certification course. The PharmPAC has worked with the Bureau of Prisons and APhA to provide this training to pharmacists. Courses are being offered on December 1, 2006, in Rockville, Maryland, and also at the 2007 USPHS Professional Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.
