Data Sources
HHS collects a broad range of health and health-related data, and supports states and local entities in collecting information. The data include measures of hundreds of different health indicators. Data sets currently available through the Initiative are available through an interim website hosted by the National Center for Health Statistics, CDC. HHS also uses health indicators to measure progress toward national health goals under the Healthy People program.
