Title XX Introduction: Vision and Mission

OAPP/AFL staff operate with guidance from their strategic plan through which they established the following vision and mission.

The AFL program’s vision is to aspire to provide leadership and innovation in the field of adolescent health and well-being. AFL program staff will set the example for integrity, efficiency, and accessibility.

The AFL program’s mission is to demonstrate effective means to promote premarital abstinence from sexual activity and to ameliorate the adverse consequences of adolescent childbearing. Under the authority of the Title XX of the Public Health Service Act, the OAPP awards and administers demonstration and research grants to address these issues and disseminates information.
