Title XX Introduction: Performance Measures

AFL grantees are responsible for reporting on several performance measures. Performance Measures can be found at the following link:

The six AFL Program performance measures are:

Prevention Only

1. Increase communication among parents and adolescents on topics relating to puberty, pregnancy, abstinence, alcohol, and/or drugs.
2. Increase adolescents' understanding of the positive health and emotional benefits of abstaining from premarital sexual activity.

Care Only

3. Maintain the incidence of clients in AFL Care demonstration projects who do not have a repeat pregnancy.
4. Increase infant immunization among clients in AFL Care demonstration projects.
5. Increase the educational attainment of clients in AFL Care demonstration projects.

Both Prevention and Care

6. Improve the quality of the Title XX independent evaluations.

AFL has one efficiency measure for both prevention and care projects:

Sustain the cost to encounter ratio in Title XX prevention and care demonstration projects.
