Looking at Your Organization's Resources

  • Sort out how to use existing resources differently and more effectively. For example, how can your program use technology more effectively in order to reduce resources used and burden on staff? Communication technology has expanded a programs’ ability to broaden their reach to not only collaborate with other local programs, but to also reach out world-wide to similar programs. Using communication options such as e-mail, internet, and listservs increase networking opportunities, as well as public knowledge and involvement.1
  • Developing a resource plan, to include strategies for identifying new funding sources as well as strategies on how to keep and manage existing resources effectively, will enable your organization to sustain programs and continue services.
