Collaboration and Innovation

When you collaborate, you are helping your agency find out how it is part of the community’s system of agencies and services that help adolescents. Collaboration brings together knowledge and experience to improve the process and outcomes of complex systems.

What is a system?

• A SYSTEM is a group of agencies, programs, networks, and services that focus on a specific activity. There are many systems in your community; for example medical systems, school systems, anti-gang activity systems, law systems.

On your notepad, write the answer to this question: What systems do you think exist in your town that are linked to prevention of adolescent pregnancy or care services for pregnant and parenting teens?
