Affordable Care Act and the Title X Program

On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). Along with the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, the law put in place comprehensive health insurance reforms. The law makes preventive care—including family planning and related care—more accessible and affordable for many Americans. The information and resources provided here are intended to assist Title X-funded family planning centers and other safety net providers in implementing the new law.

Special Enrollment Options

2015 Open enrollment for the Marketplace has ended, however individuals and families may still qualify for special enrollment options based on certain life changes. This video explains special enrollment.

The National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association is offering Title X providers a new, free guide to help with Affordable Care Act education and outreach. Enrollment in a Box provides a roadmap for conducting year-round education and enrollment activities - on any budgetIt is available for all Title X providers, not only for NFPRHA members.
