The HHS EAP has developed a number of guidelines, training materials, and documents that readers may find useful. They are:
- Domestic Violence in the Workplace
This document informs employees about measures that can be taken if they suspect domestic violence situations exist, informs site managers about physical security precautions that may be taken, and informs managers about policies and procedures that others have found helpful in preventing domestic violence. It has been written as an addendum to the Workplace Violence documents shown below.
- Understanding and Responding to Workplace Violence in HHS
These documents contain information on planning for and responding to workplace violence in the Department of Health and Human Services. The first document is the comprehensive guideline which describes definitions, policy matters, response to various levels of workplace violence, handling the aftermath, and helpful resources. The second document contains guidelines for establishing local Crisis Management Teams.
