The next visit in Kampala was to the TASO Center (an AIDS
Support Organization), established in 1987. It is the first indigenous
non-governmental organization in Africa to respond to the needs of people
living with HIV/AIDS. At the Center, Pfizer dedicated a recently completed
pediatric ward of the Mulago Hospital.
