February 15, 2001: HHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson attended the screening of "A Healthy Start: Begin Before Baby's Born," a film that follows the pregnancies of three women and shows viewers how prenatal care made a difference in their babies' health. The hour-long documentary was produced by award-winning filmmakers Rory Kennedy and Liz Garbus and narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Glenn Close. The film was a joint project of the Health Resources and Services Administration, Lifetime Television and the Ad Council and airs nationally on the Lifetime cable network on February 23.
