Imagine having a personal health assistant for your family in the palm of your hand. The new myfamily application gets you there, allowing you to set and customize health alerts and reminders. The app was developed out of an HHS challenge by the team at healthfinder.gov.

Dr. Don Wright is HHS’ deputy assistant secretary for health, disease prevention and health promotion.

“All the content currently found in healthfinder.gov can be accessed through the application, in particular, vaccinations, screening tests, as well as up-to-date wellness and prevention information.”

The app has diet and physical activity information, and is a great starting point to learn what preventive services you should consider based on your age and gender.
