Prior to his appointment as HHS Regional Director in 2011, Kenneth Munson twice served as deputy secretary at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in Madison, WI. In that role, he was the chief operating officer and managed the department’s $7.8 billion budget and 5,500 employees statewide. Kenneth also previously served for five years as president and CEO of Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin, the largest private, not-for-profit child welfare agency in Wisconsin, where he was responsible for a $50 million budget. During his time there, he managed more than 80 programs, including mental health, health education and child abuse prevention programming at sites statewide serving 85,000 children and adults annually. Kenneth also held several positions in the City of Milwaukee government, including deputy director of administration, executive director of the Fire and Police Commission, and assistant city attorney. Kenneth received a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
