Initiatives

The Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs (IEA) serves as the principal liaison between the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and officials of state, tribal and local governments, and non-governmental organizations. Through these relationships, IEA serves as a link between HHS and diverse communities throughout the country. As part of strengthening IEA’s communication with its partners, it has developed various ways to provide timely and accurate information about HHS initiatives and polices.

Initiatives:

News and Updates: Read recent news and regular updates about the work HHS is performing across the country.

Affordable Care Act Bulletins: Get the facts about the Affordable Care Act, updates about its implementation, and resources to assist individuals and businesses.

Information for Your Community: Find how the Affordable Care Act affects and helps your particular community.

Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships: Learn how the Partnership Center works to build partnerships between government and community and faith-based organizations, which help HHS serve individuals, families and communities in need.
