The 18th public meeting of the American Health Information Community (the Community) was held on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. [Eastern].

This "special" meeting was conducted via conference call and included Community members, HHS staff, invited presenters, and the general public. The purpose of the meeting was for the AHIC members to discuss a Recommendation from the Community’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) Workgroup on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ authority to require e-prescribing.
