Description

The purpose of this grant activity is to fund a cooperative agreement to support the grantee program addressing Sickle Cell disease and newborn screening as well as follow-up of infants identified with Sickle Cell disease or as carriers.This initiative will provide models, best practices, and dissemination strategies for ensuring optimal follow-up and management of babies identified with Sickle Cell disease and/or as carriers.

Eligible Entity(ies)

Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Native American organizations (other than federally recognized tribal governments) and nonprofits that have a 501(c)(3) status with IRS, other than institutions of higher learning and if otherwise eligible, faith based and community organizations,are eligible to apply for this federal funding opportunity.
