Description | Those receiving grants will work in partnership with Head Start/Early Head Start/Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs (when the HBCU offers an infant toddler degree or specialization). The primary purpose of these HBCU Partnerships is to increase the number of Head Start teaching staff with associate and baccalaureate degrees in early childhood education to improve the quality and long-term effectiveness of program services to Head Start children and their families. These partnerships must implement academic programs through partnerships between/among institutions of higher education and Head Start, Early Head Start programs (when infant toddler degrees or specializations can be awarded), and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start. |
