Description:

The purpose of the DV Pilot Program CA is to improve the responsiveness of Tribal health facilities and Urban Indian Health Centers to American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) women living with violence. In response to the problem of DV among AI/AN communities, the IHS and the Administration for Children and Families have established a DV pilot project. The DV pilot project will ensure that the facilities have the tools and training needed to develop culturally appropriate prevention strategies and resources for health care providers and battered women.

Eligible Entity(ies):

Federally-recognized Indian Tribe; or Urban Indian Organizations as defined by Urbans - 25 U.S.C. 1652; or, Non-Profit Tribal health care facility organizations serving American Indian or Alaska Native communities. Only one application per Tribe or Tribal organization is allowed.
