Description

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recognizes the value of supporting scientific meetings that are relevant to its scientific mission and to the public health.  The support of scientific meetings is highly contingent on the scientific interest and priorities of the individual Centers and Programs. FDA recognizes the value of partially supporting scientific meetings and conferences designed to coordinate, exchange, and disseminate information when the objectives are clearly within the scope of the agency’s mission. 

FDA’s policy is to participate with other organizations to support meetings where practicable rather than provide sole support. Conference support is available to any public or private nonprofit entity including State and local units of government, scientific and professional societies, and for-profit entities. 

Faith-based organizations are eligible to apply for these conference grants.  For–profit entities must commit to excluding fees or profit from the conference in their request for support. Any domestic organization is eligible to apply for a conference grant.

Both domestic and international conferences may be supported; however, an international conference can be supported only through the U.S. representative organization of an established international scientific or professional society.

• public, private, for profit and nonprofit entity (including State and local units of government),
• faith-based organizations,
• scientific and professional societies
