- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Faith-Based and Community Initiative –SAMHSA was created as a services agency to focus attention, programs, and funding on improving the lives of people with or at risk for mental and substance abuse disorders.
- The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)—The CDC collaborates to create the expertise, information, and tools that people and communities need to protect their health – through health promotion, prevention of disease, injury and disability, and preparedness for new threats.
- Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Policy on Faith-Based & Community Organizations – HRSA is the primary Federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated or medically vulnerable.
