Social media includes social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn, and others.

  • TXT4Tots is a library of short messages focused on nutrition and physical activity for parents and caregivers of children ages 1-5 years. The TXT4Tots library is designed as a resource that can be incorporated into a wide variety of existing programs and platforms.

  • During emergencies, HHS has to integrate and analyze an overwhelming amount of information incredibly fast. Today we use social media to help with that task, including identifying outbreaks and responding to the public.

  • To close out February’s American Heart Month, several HHS agencies executed their first bilingual Twitter chat. This effort resulted in great lessons learned on how to communicate using Twitter chats.
