Mobile strategy is an approach to developing digital material with applications, tablets and smartphones in mind.

  • In the last year alone, the number of mobile visits to FDA.gov has nearly doubled, and now 25 percent of our visitors use a tablet or smartphone to access the site.

  • The way girls access the internet is changing so the Office of Women’s Health rebuilt girlshealth.gov in responsive design, making the site’s reliable, useful, and easy-to-understand health information more accessible for mobile users.

  • Last year’s ‘Reducing Cancer among Women of Color’ App Challenge aimed to address health disparities head on. We’re happy to announce the winner of the challenge, which helps underserved and minority women take control of their health.

  • Take action to improve your family's health by accessing customized prevention information & tips for each member of your family.

  • Game players can solve public health outbreaks as disease detectives in this new iPad app, Solve the Outbreak, from CDC.

  • We saw some big changes across the federal government with the introduction of the Digital Government Strategy in 2012, and looking forward, 2013 promises to be even bigger! HHS and the Federal Web Managers Council have teamed up to bring you 12 big ideas and predictions for 2013.

  • HHS just launched a competition on Challenge.gov asking the public to design a mobile application for Healthfinder.gov.
