As part of our ongoing efforts to make improvements to HealthCare.gov, we continue to focus on the need to build capacity and fix software bugs.

Over the weekend, we added storage capacity in the CMS Data center for HealthCare.gov. This infrastructure improvement will enable increased processing power as more users move through the system.

Last night, we added several dozen software fixes to the HealthCare.gov website, as we continue to make steady progress towards ensuring that the site works smoothly for the vast majority of users by the end of November. These fixes address key functions of the site: improving user experience; improving the enrollment process; and improving the workflow for agents, brokers and call center representatives.

As of this morning, we’ve completed fixes for two-thirds of the high priority bugs that our tech team working with issuers identified as being responsible for the issues with 834s transactions and Direct Enrollment.

Overall, we’ve made measurable progress, as the changes and improvements we’ve made over the last few weeks are having a positive impact on system performance. In total, we now have crossed more than 200 bug fixes off of our punch list.
