Making a difference in how people find health information, today and into the future.

HHS and the Department of Education recently launched MentalHealth.gov. The site provides resources for individuals looking for help, and tools so communities across the country can host local conversations on mental health.

Since the first ‘palooza’ four years ago HHS has liberated more than 400 datasets, participated in a countless number of codeathons, and has seen and helped developers build hundreds of apps, services, and products using health data.

Last week the Digital Strategy team launched a new feature making the management of our Mobile Apps information more efficient, dynamic and accessible to both users and devices.

This week marks the fourth edition of what has come to be known as ‘Health Datapalooza,’ which has grown to include nearly 2,000 tech developers, health care professionals, researchers, policy makers, and business leaders from around the world.

Last year’s ‘Reducing Cancer among Women of Color’ App Challenge aimed to address health disparities head on. We’re happy to announce the winner of the challenge, which helps underserved and minority women take control of their health.
