Critical Infrastructure Protection

The Healthcare and Public Health Sector Annual Report:

As set forth in both HSPD-7 and the National Infrastructure Protection Plan, each Sector-Specific Agency (SSA) is required to provide the Secretary of Homeland Security an annual report.  To meet this requirement, the SSA works closely with members from both the Healthcare Sector Coordinating Council (SCC) and the Government Coordinating Council (GCC) during the SAR development process.  The process is built upon an outline provided by the Department of Homeland Security to help ensure consistency between all 18 sectors.

The 2008 Sector Annual Report development process reflected a significant achievement in collaboration, as well as in the ability to bring private sector concerns to the forefront. These efforts and the combined partnership enabled development of an annual report that is holistic in historical representation and comprehensive in vision.
