The following program models met the effectiveness criteria in HHS pregnancy prevention research review of more than 1,000 studies. These are programs that were found to be effective at preventing teen pregnancies or births, reducing sexually transmitted infections, or reducing rates of associated sexual risk behaviors (defined by sexual activity, contraceptive use, or number of partners).
Intervention Implementation Reports accompany each program model and provide both programmatic information and supporting research evidence. The programmatic information is based on the publicly available online sources. This information is not exhaustive and may not reflect the most recent experience with each intervention. The evaluation information contained in the reports has been retrieved from the original evaluation studies that support each program model.
