March 30-31, 2016 - Public Meeting

Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria.

The March public meeting was dedicated to presentations by the five Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB) working groups, which are: Antibiotic Stewardship; One Health Surveillance; Diagnostic Innovations; Treatment, Prevention and Control Research and Development; and International Collaboration on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (CARB). The voting members voted on the working groups' findings and recommendations. In addition, the PACCARB was presented with new tasks from the Secretary of HHS, in consultation with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Defense (DoD).
