John Teeter serves as Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information Technology and Acting Chief Information Officer for the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Mr. Teeter oversees the Department's use of information technology to improve program performance and manage risk. He leads the information technology capital planning and investment control, enterprise architecture, information systems, electronic government, and information resources management programs in collaboration with all the organizational components of HHS.
Mr. Teeter began his career at the Social Security Administration, followed by work at both the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where he was the Chief Enterprise Architect. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and certificates in information technology management and enterprise architecture.
