Segundo Pereira serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Diversity Management and EEO (ODME) in the Department of Health and Human Services.  ODME provides leadership in planning, directing, and implementing diversity management and equal employment opportunity programs and policies at the department level. In coordination with the OPDIVs, provides advice, counsel, and policy oversight for operational diversity and equal employment opportunity activities.

Mr. Pereira is a retired Colonel and combat veteran from the United States Air Force.  Mr. Pereira has a Master of Science degree in International Studies from the Air War College, and a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.  His undergraduate studies were conducted at Manhattan College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
